Kenneth S. Hartzler, 69, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.
He was born February 8, 1951 in Wooster the son of Lowell Lefty and Marilyn Martin Hartzler. He married Susan Stanford on February 7, 1992. She survives.
Kenneth proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked for CenturyLink, performing various duties, for 35 years before his retirement in 2013. Previously to that he had worked in construction. Kenneth loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his mother; step-daughters Lynn (James) Woodruff and Stacy (Benjamin) Gammell; and his sisters Karin (Gary) Snyder and Kathy Mick.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Interment with military honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

We are very sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. We enjoyed his company and he passed by the Clark house on his tractor or golf cart.

Roger has lost a true friend. We were blessed to have Kenny in our lives and consider him a part of our family. He will be deeply missed. There were many hours of Kenny and Roger leaning against their trucks solving the problems of the world. RIP.

Kenny was a great guy and a hard worker. I was proud to call him one of my co-workers. Always trying to be the tough guy on the outside just to get you mad and then he would break out into that infectious laugh. My condolences to all of his family.
We were sorry to read the sad news about Ken. We saw him often working on his lovely property when we drove past on Smithville-Western. We haven’t talked to Ken for years, but remember him well from NHS. We hope that many good memories will help you during this sad time. (And Karen, I of course remember you when you were my good student at NHS!) Our sincere condolences to all of the Hartzler family.
