Genie A. Gordon, 71, of Green Valley, Arizona passed away on July 25, 2020.
Genie was born to Dr. Morris J. and Mae Gordon in Lodi, Ohio on February 28, 1949.
She grew up in Seville, Ohio and lived in the Akron and Parma area before moving to Arizona in retirement.
She was an avid dog lover. When she lived in Ohio she bred and showed boxers. She was also active in boxer rescue.  After moving to Green Valley she volunteered her time at The Animal League of Green Valley as well as taking her certified therapy dog to the local day cares and nursing homes.
She is predeceased by her parents Dr. Morris J. and Mae Gordon.
She leaves behind her loving family: son; Stephan Gordon, grandson; Jackson Gordon, and sisters; Gail A. Sommers, Marsha L. (Donald) Frantisak, and Naome (Dwaine) Carter, and seven nephews.  She also leaves behind her beloved therapy dog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, œGabby. 
Private family services were held with burial in Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

    Sorry to hear of her passing. We grew up together and particularly I remember sitting behind her Mr. Murphy’s English class. Last Saw genie in our 40th reunion. We had a nice talk.
