  3. Ken has been a good friend since the 70’s, when we first met him & his family. He was always supportive, providing friendship and always willing to provide any assistance he felt would benefit his friends. Together, we enjoyed many dining experiences, as well as vacation time together. We are deeply sorrowful to learn of his passing. RIP, good friend.

  5. I knew Ken when he worked at Jones but then ran into him and his family in the past couple years at the clinic where I work. He was such an amazingly kind man, and I just loved seeing him and his family because they are so sincere and kind. I miss the buffaloes and how he shared them with anyone. You couldn’t ask for a more down to earth and selfless persons out there. My deepest sympathies to his entire family. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

  6. My family,
I was saddened to hear the news of my sweet uncle’s passing. May he rest in eternal peace. When I would see him in town, his disposition would pull you right in. How he reminded me of my dad! It was a connection I did not take for granted. Always enjoyed seeing the buffalo and getting together for holidays as a kid at your house. And who can forget the player piano? Uncle Kenny, you will be missed.

  10. I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Kenny; I had not known he was ill. Our paths had not crossed since the late 1980s until a couple years ago. I am glad that he was able to keep Grandpa Varns’ buffalo herd going for so long, so his side of Flickinger Hill (with the “Franks Chateau” sign) still looks like it did when I was a boy 50 years ago. His photo above makes me chuckle: Kenny and my dad (Terry Drushel) both had that permed hairdo at one point. My sincere condolences to Cousins Deb and Kerry for their loss.

  11. My condolences to my cousins Deb, Kerry, and their families. I hadn’t seen Uncle Kenny for a few years. I think the last time was when he was driving his pickup and making a left onto Milltown heading east. He was on a mission. He was a nice guy and had cool things like the buffalo and the player piano. I will miss him.
