WOOSTER “ Frederick Norman œFred  Voigt, 88 of Wooster passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Burbank Park Care Center in Burbank.
He was born July 14, 1932 in Cleveland to Frederick C. and Olga Schauer Voigt.   He married Alice Greenoe on February 18, 1956.   She preceded him in death.
Fred had worked for the Ford Motor Company in the foundry and on the lines.   He enjoyed woodworking and making things and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He had proudly served his country with the US Army.
Surviving are his children Larry (Mary) Schuck of Mansfield, Chris (Gary) Wilhelmy of Wooster, Cathy A. (Joe) Anderson of Edgewater, Florida and Pamela A. Voigt of Parma; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren along numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son Melvin Schuck, a daughter Luanne Thomas; a granddaughter and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Memorial sevices will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with Chris, Larry…and the rest of the family at this difficult time. It was a pleasure taking care of Fred. I have so many fond memories of him that will remain in my heart forever! RIP Papa!!

  5. My sympathy is with the entire Voigt family . Fred and I had a lot of great conversations late at night around the kitchen table about the Army , Ford Motor Co ,and life in general. We got along great and I miss those times . Rest in Peace Fred

  7. Fred was a person you never forget , it was my Honor to have been a Member in Wayne County REACT with him we spent many times working together , and sharing coffee at the Parlor he was a true friend . Was looking at a picture of us together ..
