David S. Dodds died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on August 30, 2020, after a long and wonderful life. He was born to Sheldon and Florence (Magg) Dodds May 19, 1942, in Marion, Ohio, and lived much of his life there until moving to Wooster in 1996.
He was a remodeler and master woodworker for most of his adult years. He loved his work and helped countless companies and people throughout his career in Marion, Wooster and throughout Ohio. He was an avid supporter of Rails to Trails and the Democratic Party. He also enjoyed open-wheel and sports car racinq and looked forward to being able to watch the Cleveland Browns play football. David loved life and his family and friends – of which he had many. He was also a collector of many interesting items that he always planned to take to flea markets.
David was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Margo. He is survived by three children: Jimi of Mexico, Jennifer of Bursa, Turkey, and Micheal (Heather) of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by his wife, Pam, and her two children, Aaron (Michelle) of Eugene, Oregon, and Maggie (Michael) of Denver, Colorado.
Because of the current global circumstances, no services will be held.

Pam, please accept my heartfelt condolences for David’s passing. I was looking forward to doing some reminiscing with David at our next class reunion, especially after I had missed our last few. He was an intelligent, caring guy.

My condolences on David’s passing. I grew up on Forest St. in Marion and lived next door to the Dodds. And although he was approximately 10 years older than me, I still remember when he gave me a ride in his Austin Healey bug eye Sprite. I was the coolest kid in Marion that day, Thanks, David. Peace.
