Christopher John Shanley, 48, of Wooster died on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born June 26, 1972 in Wooster to James and Barbara Newman Shanley.
Christopher had worked in construction throughout his life. He enjoyed drawing, loved the outdoors, sports and fishing, but mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children Damian Nichols, Colton Shanley and Quintin Shanley all of Wooster; life partner of over 28 years Teresa Speelman; his parents; four brothers and four sisters.
There will be no public service or calling hours.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

So hard to accept I won’t be getting a Shanley hug, seeing that huge smile or hearing a “hey sis” at sometimes the most random and most needed times. Rest easy Chris you will be missed by all of those whose life you touched. Keeping your family in prayer and thought. Till we meet again on the other side( and I’m sure yours will be one of the loudest and first welcomes I hear) much love.

Sorry for your loss, I haven’t seen Chris in years but the funniest memory I have of him was in 4th grade he jumped out the 2nd story window of shreve elementary and ran to the bus it was the end of the day and mrs Emler about had a heart attack needless to say they escorted him off the bus and to the principals office, he was always fun and made you laugh!

So very sorry for your loss. Chris was a real sweetheart. Everytime I would see him he would give me a shy smile until I would tell him how good looking he was. Then I would get a great big smile. A light went out with his passing

We lost you too soon Chris. I hadn’t seen you for about two years. You came over when some of your family was there and gave me a big hug and a big smile! We had some unforgettable summers in the big town of Blachleyville Chris. We played a lot of tackle football, baseball, softball, kickball, basketball, etc. Your willingness to help someone out was like no other. Until we meet again.
