Kenneth E. Horst, 73, of Wooster passed away at Akron General Medical Center on Friday, September 18, 2020 following complications from heart surgery.
He was born in Wadsworth on December 19, 1947 to Laverne D. and Eileen D. Horst and married Linda L. Bennett on May 4, 1969.   They celebrated 51 years of marriage in May.
He retired from Frito Lay after 42 years of service as a Driver Salesman.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his son Todd, daughter-in-law Kimberly as well as his beloved grandchildren Liam and Lainey, whom he loved with all of his heart, enjoying being able to attend their various sports and school events.
He is also survived by his mother, Eileen of Dalton; brothers Larry (Debbie) of Sarasota, FL; Everett of Colleyville, TX and sister Loretta (Merlin) Erb of Dalton along with nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Laverne; father and mother-in-law Robert and Marjorie Bennett and brother-in-law William L. Whittier.
There will be no calling hours.   The family will plan a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors and staff at Akron General Medical Center for their care and kindness during this illness.
