Together Again
WOOSTER Floyd N. Cornelius, 72, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Ohio s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born March 19, 1948 in Wooster the son of Kyle and Dorothy DeCarlo Cornelius. He married Marcia Ewing on November 19, 1976. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2019.
Floyd was an electrician and a member of the Living Water Church in Dalton. He regularly attended breakfast at Bob Evans on Madison Hill to harass the staff. Floyd loved spending time with his wife they were inseparable. After her death, he never missed an opportunity to visit her gravesite. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Floyd proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his children Traci (Jason) Knuth of Wooster and Todd (Amber) Cornelius of Burbank; grandchildren Logan, Morgan, Lainey, Jaylynn, Josie and Grayson; siblings Gary (Sally) Cornelius of Loudonville and Gloria (Steve) Landfair of Shreve.
In addition to his wife, Marcia, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Nancy Sigler and an infant brother.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Living Water Church, 200 Kurzon Rd., N., Dalton, OH 44618 and 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Hirst officiating. Private burial will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville at a later date.

Shocked to hear the passing of Floyd. Got to know Floyd when he worked at McClintock’s Electric operating the trencher while installing underground for Ohio Power. Through the years would see Floyd at different positions wether doing electric work or the restaurant 250. Floyd was proud of his service in the Army serving in Vietnam as we both had converation’s about “in country”. He often kidded Janet as they both graduated from Wooster High. We often have long conversations when we met wether it be our military, electric or muscle cars. Will miss Marcia and Floyd two of the nicest people. So many memories of Floyd and Marcia,one could say Floyd’s heart was broken the day Marcia passed,but now he’s whole again.I pray you find great comfort knowing their both with our Heavenly Father.As you share memories with friends and family,I hope a peace comes over your heart.Look to heaven Todd and Traci,their smiling back at you.

Todd and Tracy and family. So shocked and sad to hear of Floyd’s passing, we always joked with each other, will miss him and Marsha, they were wonderful people.
I rejoice with Floyd as he is now where his heart has always been, with this beloved Marcia. I carry in my heart and sole the infinite number of times we laughed and cried together, with and without kids around. I feel blessed with having had Floyd as a friend and then blessed again when he brought Marcia into his life to share. My memories will always remain. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Floyd was one of the most genuine people in world! Shy and funny, caring and kind, he was always there for you!! He and Marcia can be together forever now!! See you later Floyd!!

Todd and Traci and families – Mark and I are deeply sorry for your loss and can’t imagine that pain that you are enduring right now. I will never forget that each and every time that I would see your Dad he would say “Hi blondie”. I hope that you can find solace in that your Mom and Dad are together and they will be waiting for you in Heaven. Love you guys!
