James Alan Middlesworth, 46, of Shreve died on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1974 in Wadsworth.
James bred and raced Siberian Huskies and had competed all over the country.   In 2017, he was ranked second in the world and was given the opportunity to race in the Iditarod.   He loved nature and all animals.   James was a member of several car clubs.
He is survived by his parents, David Boyd of Wooster and Frances Middlesworth of Shreve; son Chase Shoults-Middlesworth of Shreve; sister Francie (David) Beckett Jr., of Millersburg and half siblings Gloria Carroll of Wooster, Christina Dawson of Apple Creek and David Boyd, Jr. of Wooster.
Friends will be received two hours prior to the 12:00 Noon service on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.
Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
