  7. I was fortunate to have been able to be around Bill throughout most of his life journey. We played little league baseball together, high school football and then we reconnected after his accident. As a kid Bill was always happy go lucky around me. He was very competitive but a truly wanted to do his best and was going to suck as much enjoyment out of the game as possible. Later in life I found the same person. Even with all his challenges he was so proud of his home and his dogs. He loved his independence and wasn’t going to let his disability slow him down. I will miss his humor and his spirit. He was a true friend to me. My sympathy to all who are grieving this huge loss.

  11. I knew Bill primarily from my teen years, first as my friend Eric’s “little” brother, then on his own in our church youth group. I remember Bill as a friendly and direct friend, with a fiesty spirit who was quick to laugh and make me laugh. My heart goes out to you all in this time of suffering and loss. May we all turn to the hope that comes to us through Christ that we will someday be together again in a much better place.
