WOOSTER “ James Franklin Edwards, 73, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born May 30, 1947 in Millersburg the son of Gail and Barbara Koenig Edwards.   He married Bonnie Beckler on November 20, 1971.   She survives.
Jim was a 1965 graduate of Hiland High School in Holmes County and graduated from Barber College. He worked as a Barber for several years until he entered the corrugated container industry.   Most recently enjoyed various jobs as a Courier and transporting his Amish friends where he made many valuable friendships.
He attended the Parkview Christian Church, was a member of American Legion Post 651 of Fredericksburg and was an avid bowler.   He enjoyed coaching his daughter ™s softball teams, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He proudly served his country with the US Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Jennifer (Kennie) Hatfield and Jaime Jackson both of Wooster; grandchildren Mackenna, Mikayla and Gavin Hatfield and Lilly and Gabriel Jackson; siblings Bonnie Voltz of Colorado Springs, CO and Richard (Lori) Edwards of Holmesville; brothers-in-law Ronnie Beckler, Donnie (Jo) Beckler, Larry (Debbie Gemma) Beckler and Gary (Linda) Beckler all of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren Hannah Hatfield and Eleanor Jackson and his son-in-law Bob Jackson
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the memorial service at noon on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster with Pastor Brian White officiating.   Burial will follow in the Fryburg Cemetery.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Parkview Christian Church.
