œTogether Again 
Hildegard M. Wharton, 94, of Wooster passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at her home with her son holding her hand.
She was born March 1, 1926 in Dreslaw Germany.   On September 1, 1948 she married Bernard E. Wharton Sr., who preceded her in death on May 10, 1999.
Hildegard had worked as a Personal Assistant for Henry Critchfield for 25 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where for many years she took care of the church flower gardens.   She was the former president of the Floralynn Garden Club.   Hildegard loved her flower gardens and her home was on the very first Every Woman ™s House garden tour.   She also loved her precious Afghan Hounds.
Surviving are her 2 sons: Bernard (Patty) Wharton Jr. of South Carolina, and John W. Wharton of Wooster.   A grandson; Justin Wharton of Albuquerque New Mexico.
Hildegard was preceded in death by her husband and 2 siblings.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Wooster Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
