WOOSTER “ Howard Neal Haven, Sr., 79, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
He was born December 11, 1941 in Wooster the son of John C. and Alie Goodman Haven.   He married Anna Edinger on May 15, 1963.   She preceded him in death on February 13, 2008.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, puzzles and coloring.   He also loved animals, especially his dog Joy.   Howard had a quick temper but an even quicker smile that was contagious to all around him.   He will be greatly missed by his kids, grandchildren and the many friends he made while living at Townview Terrace.
Surviving are his children Howard N. Haven, Jr., Lori E. Smetzer, Scott (Christa) Haven and Bruce E. (Anna) Haven: 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Jack Haven, Johnny Haven, Lois Miller, Wanda Huffman, Sara Wholford and Pauline Greenough.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded by his parents, a daughter Shelley M. Shetler and siblings Raymond, Kenny, Bruce, Glendel and Harold Haven, Mary Friend and Louise Smith.
Friends will be received Monday, January 18, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Private family services will be livestreamed on the Funeral Home facebook page starting at 1:00 p.m. and burial will be held in the Wooster Cemetery.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
