Wooster “ Russell œRay  Gamertsfelder, 89, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born July 8, 1931 in Blissfield the son of Walter and Goldie E. Neville Gamertsfelder.
Ray had been a Restaurant Manager.   He and his wife, Pauline, spent 25 years in Florida during their retirement years.   He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson and great-grandchildren.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
Surviving is a daughter Sheila (Ray) Moore of Killbuck; a grandson Matthew (Roxann) Reed of Millersburg; great-grandchildren Sydnee and Cylas; siblings Kenneth E. Gamertsfelder of Millersburg, Dean E. (Sandra) Gamertsfelder of Killbuck and Marvin E. (Ann) Gamertsfelder of Arizona; sister-in-law Vonda G. Gamertsfelder of Killbuck and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Gamertsfelder in 2008, his parents, a son Mark A. Gamertsfelder and a brother Denver Gamertsfelder.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. Sheila and family. I am sorry to read about your dad. He was a good man and a great father and grandfather. I hadn’t seen him since I was a kid but enjoyed seeing his pictures thru you. Your Mom and Mark are rejoicing in seeing him join them. Laugh at all the good times and your sadness of his passing will seem less. Gif bless you!
