Wooster- Kenneth L. Pfalzgraf of Wooster, passed away February 3rd, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.
Ken was born on June 25th, 1936 in Woodsfield, Ohio, to the late John and Lucy (Shaw) Pfalzgraf. He later moved from Woodsfield to Wooster in 1954 to start a family.
Before passing the torch to his son Mike, Kenneth was the well-known owner of The Lincoln Tavern or Danner’s in Wooster while also owning and operating Spring Valley Campground in Fredericksburg. In his retirement years, Kenneth was a land developer and devoted family man.
Ken never met a stranger, and had a heart too big for his body. He was giving, caring, and compassionate. Anyone who had the honor of meeting him would agree that he was an exceptional and amazing man. Kenneth led by example as a hard worker and kind soul.
Ken was passionate about gardening. He had vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and flower patches he doted on every year. He also enjoyed mowing and operating his many pieces of equipment on various projects. He looked forward to spring and summer to get outside and make the most of each day. He also enjoyed hunting with his family and friends, something he did from a very young age. Ken loved listening to his granddaughter play piano in the evenings, and spending quality time with her any chance he could. He devoted much of his time to teaching his granddaughter how to drive, garden, and many other life lessons.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Donna (Persinger) Pfalzgraf, his two children Micheal (Alicia) Pfalzgraf and Christina (Gabriel) Thompson, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his siblings Jim and Shirley-Jean. Kenneth was preceded in death by siblings Carole, Bill, Ed, Dot, and Dee.
His family will be holding a celebration of life party for him in the spring; more details will be released closer to the date.

Kenny was a kind and thoughtful man with a generous heart. He always had time for a visit and was a great neighbor. He got a lot of joy when our grandsons would catch fish at his pond. We sure are going to miss him and send our deepest sympathy to Donna and the family.

I will miss seeing Kenny go by our home or bumping into him and having a conversation about what he was up to. We shared a love for the outdoors. I am sorry to hear about the passing of Kenny, I did work for him for several of the past few years. He always greeted me with a smile. I also enjoyed talking with him and appreciated him allowing me to take my kids fishing. He was always so kind to me and my kids. You will be missed my friend.
