CANTON “ Joyce E. Christopher, 66, of Canton passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
She was born September 15, 1954 in Wooster the daughter of Virgil and Esther Horst Thomas.
She had worked as a telemarketer for many years. Joyce enjoyed music, spending time with family and friends and old fashioned cooking.   Joyce always loved laughing, pulling pranks and cracking jokes.
Surviving are her children Alissa (Kyle) Thames and Dan (Autumn) Christopher both of Massillon; grandchildren Violet Christopher, Sunny Christopher and Donald Thames; siblings twin brother Fred (Cindy) Thomas of Smithville, John (Cindy) Thomas of North Canton and Kenneth (Maryellen) Thomas of Apple Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Leroy Thomas.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5-8:00 p.m.   Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Private family services will be held with burial in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

  3. So sorry for your loss. Joyce and I had such fun in high school! We just moved to Smithville and I wanted to look her up as I had seen her during a trip back to Ohio a few years ago. Prayers to Fred, Cindy and the rest of the family.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was a great friend and co-worker. We spent many hours talking on the phone and laughing our heads off. She guided me thru many tough times in my life and I will dearly miss her.

  7. Spent a lot of time hanging out with her and Fred in my high school years. All smiles and laughs. So many great memories. RIP, Joyce. Sorry for your loss, Fred.
