Curtis Allen Holmes, Sr., 67, of Wooster went home with the Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Summa Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born May 13, 1953 in Akron to Curtis and Thelma Jean Baker Holmes.   On April 27, 1977, he married Connie Harry and they would have celebrated 43 years this year.
Curt was a graduate of Wooster High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1977 where he was a Spec 4 3/36 stationed in Germany on the base better known as The Rock.   Curt had been a truck driver and a truck mechanic.
Curt was a very loving man to his wife and children, loved to garden and his grandchildren.   He was always willing to help when needed.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, children Christie (Bob) Shutt and Curt Jr. (Rosi) Holmes; grandchildren Stephen (Jess) Shutt, Cody (Megan) Shutt and Emma Holmes; great-grandchildren Addyson, Connor, Maddlyn and Maximus; sister Paula (Mark) Condry and five other siblings.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandchild Everleigh Shutt and three siblings.
Friends will be received from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Private family services will be held with burial in Reedsburg Cemetery.

  3. Sorry for your loss. It’s always hard to lose anyone especially a spouse. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. Will miss talking to him when I call Connie and calling him on his birthday. But he is in a much better place. Here for you guys.
