WOOSTER Mary Lou Pfaff, 88, of Wooster passed on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home.
She was born December 16, 1932 in Effingham, IL the second child of 8 born to Ferdinand Ferd and Rose Schwermine Hardiek. She was a total blessing to her 7 children, Mary Jean Amity of Walton Hills, OH, Mike (Cheryl) Birk of Columbus, Cindy (Steve) Miko of Wooster, Scott (Patti) Birk of Edmond, OK, Bryan Birk of Wooster, Tony (Angie) Birk of Katy, TX and Lori (Chris) Tersigni of Wadsworth; 16 grandchildren David, Michael, Chelsea, Sarah, Connor, Austin, Stephen, Michaela, Aaron, Kristi, Kendall, Ryne, Kamryn, Toni, Colton and William; 5 great-grandchildren Ben, Scott, Cooper, Birkley and Duke.
She worked at the College of Wooster and Addressograph Farrington. She retired at the age of 55 to spend more time with her grandchildren which meant the world to her, as she loved them dearly. Mary Lou loved taking long walks in the sunshine with her daughters and having coffee on the deck and laughing about old times with them. She loved taking care of her bounty of roses, which was the highlight of her yard for passersby. Mary Lou never passed up an opportunity to take a vacation with her sisters and found great joy in volunteering at Friendique. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mary Lou was a 57 year member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster.
Mary Lou enjoyed collecting supplies to donate to Mountain Vision.
She earned an Associate s Degree from Wayne College with a 4.0 in 1983.
Private family services will be held with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom…..your in my thoughts and prayers….I was your Mom’s hairdresser and enjoyed her company a very sweet lady.

I remember seeing her roses along the road. Now on this day it is the month of April. Her roses are starting to bud. May she rest in eternal peace.
