WOOSTER “ Sandra L. Lyons, 73, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home.
She was born November 7, 1947 in Riverdale, Maryland the daughter of George D. and Ruth Wallace McKowen.   She married Charles Lyons on August 25, 1967.   He survives.
Sandra was a health care worker at nursing homes and then retired from Apple Creek Developmental Center.   She was a member of the Wayne Co. Republician Women where she served as the historian, and a member of and chapter president of the Red Hat Society.   She enjoyed traveling, camping, bird watching and gardening.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Charles, are her children Jeremy Allen (Joy) Lyons of Fredericksburg and David James Lyons of Mansfield; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Private family services will be held with entombment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
