Gary Douglas Williams, 76, of Wooster, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Danbury Woods of Wooster.
He was born April 10, 1945 in Ashland to Lawrence and Ethel Wolf Williams. Gary served his country in the National Guard
Gary had worked for many years at Eagle Rubber and loved gardening, playing softball, hunting raccoons and spending time in the woods. Gary really enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a basketball referee for many years. Gary loved being a member of Grace Brethren Church in Ashland.
He is survived by his daughters Nancy (Andrew) Harpster of Wooster, Marcy (Sean) Smalley of Cincinnati, Jennifer (Ed) Dobbins of Miamisburg and Sarah (fiancé Jason Liechti) Williams of Cleveland; grandchildren Aubree, Maya and Erin Dobbins, Kaylee, Macee and Zachary Harpster, Ella, William and Jackson Smalley, Taylor Williams and Lucille Liechti; and a brother Jeff (Mary) Williams of Delaware, OH.
There will be no calling hours and the family will have a private celebration of his life.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

My deepest condolences! Gary was my first cousin, the first grandson of my grandparents, Alvin & Freda Wolf, and I am #10 of their 11 grandchildren, so he was 13 years older than me. I mostly remember him from our growing up years but I last saw him 10 years ago when he attended our Wolf Family in 2010. Sad that time & geographic miles distanced us but we loved Gary. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

I mostly remember him from our youth when the family would gather at Grandma & Grandpa’s house. Time & geographical miles had distanced us but the last time I saw Gary was in 2010 at the Wolf Family Reunion. We loved Gary! Our thoughts & prayers are with you all at this time.
Gary, my 1st cousin. We didn’t get to see one another very often. My family were missionaries and lived in Guatemala. However when we came to USA in the summer, we most always stayed a few days with Aunt Ethel, Uncle Larry. Gary and Jeff. The boys had a toy tractor that rode like a tricycle and I remember riding that up and down the sidewalks. There was a park nearby their house and I always loved to go to the park with them. And then there was always a ball game going on TV. It was a nice surprise when Gary spent some time with us as my father was nearing death at the Ashland Hospice hospital. I’m going to miss him.
