Charles G. Beckler, 74, of Wooster passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1946, the son of Edward and Violet Snow Landaw. On September 19, 1987, he married Pamela Marcum. She preceded him in death in April of 2019.
Charles proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Wooster American Legion Post #68.
In addition to being a proud Marine, Charles loved his country and was an avid fisherman. He and his wife, Pamela, lived busy and active lives, but, always found time to spend with their special friends Alice, Dan, Bill & Judy, and Eric.
Surviving are his children Chuck (Michelle) Beckler and Don (Beth) Beckler, both of Wooster, Tara (Jerry) Davis of Mantua, Robert (Missy) House of Battletown, KY, Vickie (David) Meyer and Johnnie Renfrow, both of Louisville, KY, and daughter-in-law Amber House of Wooster; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings Mike Beckler, Donna Shallenberger, Bonnie Daniels, Lyle Landaw, and Bryan Landaw.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Pamela, he was preceded in death by his son Robin House in 2014.
Military honors will be performed by the 555th Honors Detachment on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2:00pm at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Friends will be received after military honors from 3:00pm “ 6:00pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the 555th Honors Detachment, 14834 Jordon Rd., Creston, OH 44217.

  4. Don and Beth. You have our sincere sympathy of the passing of Charles.
    God saw Charles getting tired, a cure not meant to be. So he gently wrapped his arms around Charles and whispered “come follow me”
    John has met a new friend and together will wait for us as well.
