WOOSTER – Kenneth L. Bower, 69, Heyl Road, Wooster, died Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Smithville Western Care Center.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Plain Lutheran Church, 4830 Blachleyville Rd., Wooster, with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Burial will follow at Plain Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Kenny was born in Wooster to Robert E. and Lavina Plant Bower. He was a 1970 graduate of Triway High School and was a farmer and owner/operator of Ken Bower Trucking, until ill health forced his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Plain Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council.
He was on the Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees, the Wayne County Fair Board and was a Plain Township Trustee.
Children are Eric L. (Michelle Layfield) Bower and Lisa M. (Bryan) Yoss. Grandchildren are Brianna N. (Will) Lockhart, Abigail R. Renker, Aaron R. Bower and Zackary A, Bower. Step-grandson is Bailey Yoss. His wife, Elizabeth Betsy Franks Bower survives.
Also surviving are three sisters: Connie (Alan) Curren, Cynthia (Stanley) Hoover and Anita (Ted) Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
His father, R.E. Bower, died in 1990 and his mother, Lavina Bower Case, in 2013

I just heard about Kenny,I am very sorry. As you gather with friends and family, sharing memories ,I pray you find peace and comfort. Kenny knew everyone in Wayne county , he will be remembered and missed .
