WOOSTER “ Jeanne E. Schenk, 68, of Wooster passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at her home.
She was born December 2, 1952 in Dover the daughter of Orin and Lois Bowman Swihart.   She married Michael A. Schenk on June 24, 1973.   He survives.
Jeanne was a 1971 graduate of Garaway High School and was the Chief Deputy Bookkeeper for the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas for 30 years and had also worked part time in the Buehler ™s Deli.   She was a member of Wooster United Methodist Church.
She loved gardening and mowing and spending time with her family whom she always put first in her life.   Jeanne had a very strong faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Mike, are her children Aaron Schenk of Wadsworth and Seth (Becky) Schenk of Smithville; grandchildren Blake, Shelby and Cheyenne Schenk and Will and Devanne O ™Connor; her siblings Carole Douglass of Strasburg, Linda Harding of New Philadelphia and Jim Swihart of Sugarcreek.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law Tami O ™Connor.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 3-5:00 p.m.
Private family services will be held.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406 or to the Wooster United Methodist Church, 243 N. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691.

  4. Jeanne always was smiling. She could light up a room. I was lucky to be at their wedding. I sure wish we would have spent more time together. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend Friday’s services. Chris and Sally Whitemyer

  6. So sorry for ur loss. Jeanne was such a kind and sweet person. So glad she came to Garaway Class of 1971 gathering in February 2020 & we had a chance to catch up. She will be missed by her friends/classmates of Garaway Class of 1971. Will keep ur family in my prayers.

  12. Dear Mike & Family: I just found out about Jeanne! I am so shocked and so very sorry! Jeanne was so kind and always had a smile on her face! We worked together at the Courthouse & she was always so sweet & never had a negative word to say about anyone! My heart breaks for you! So sorry~Debbie Wallace-Anshutz
