Lois Arlene Latecki, 82, of Wooster went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born January 30, 1939 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to John and Dorothy Paris Staats.
Lois was a homemaker. She had many hobbies including crocheting, knitting, sewing, cooking, wood crafting, stained glass, basket weaving, wedding cakes, tailoring, painting, gardening and fishing. Lois also enjoyed playing cards, 500 rummy was her favorite.
Lois will be most remembered for her thoughtfulness and willingness to help others. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grand children immensely. She never missed a holiday or birthday. Her family was the light of her life. Lois was a special person who will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Lois is survived by her daughters Julie McAfee of Wooster, Monika Christensen of Wooster, Becky Jones-Fletcher of Wooster, son John Latecki Jr of the Philippines. Grandchildren Kevin Jones II, Aaron McAfee, Melissa McAfee, Kristine Sexton, and Bobbi Rhodes. Great-grandchildren Nona, Ellen, Lilly, Genesis, Madison, Christian, Ryan, Haylee, Isabella
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Salvation Army of Wooster, 437 S. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Wooster Cemetery with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. The service will also be live streamed on the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
There will be a private family viewing with no calling hours.

Mom you were my biggest blessing from day one. I cherish all the wonderful memories we shared together. You gave from your heart and you helped me become the man I am today. I will always miss you and I will never forget all the lessons you taught me. I thank God he choose you to be mother. I love you mom.
Mrs. Lois was such a wonderful person. She’s very thoughtful and caring. She touched many people’s lives including me. I’ll miss those times whenever she calls, she’ll always ask about me and tell me how much she loves me. I never met her in person but she means the world to me. I loved her and I’m gonna miss her so much.
Lois,I am not saying goodbye but I will see you later. I will always treasure your friendship and how Jesus showed through you in so many areas! I will miss our weekly runs to Wooster and Millersburg and our bananasplit days..I will miss your guidance about so many things and how we could sit and talk about our kids for hours. You were truly my best friend ,Now you walk with Jesus and you have no pain..You are definitely missed already. So see you later when Jesus comes for me..
We will miss you and all the fun we had with sitting at the table playing 500 rummy together and the family gatherings with you there. It will deffently not be the same and the girls both will miss you but your memories will live on inside us. We love you and will never forget you and all the talks and fun we had and the girls will always remember you.
