James D. Johnson, better known as Jay Bird, passed peacefully Monday, October 18th, 2021. The Bird is now free from life’s daily struggles, reunited with his beloved grandmother, Maryann Devore, Uncle Danny Devore and brother, Larry Johnson.
Jay was born December 23rd, 1970 to James (Cruise) and Delores (Devore) Johnson.
For those who knew Jay, all would agree, he had a very big heart. Jay’s personality and great sense of humor, will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his son, Casey along with many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
