  1. Dear family, Mrs. Hider was a precious woman who with Gerald came to Lubbock for the winters, and then stayed. She came to Forrest Heights church just down the street and they became part of our church family. I loved visiting her in the Assisted living and her home, however, it has been impossible lately with COVID restrictions. She loved to play scrabble and to talk and visit. Thank you for sharing her with us! Linda Swartz

  2. Your Mother was a joy to know and visit, she did like to tell me all about her family and their children. I was blessed to get visit with both your Mother and Dad here in Lubbock. I remember when Rosemary LaVonne was born, a special baby’s name to me as was my Mother’s name and Mrs. Hider’s. Mrs. Hider would tell me about her home in Wooster that was a historically register home and of all of her antiques. It was always a delight to get to visit with your Mother. I was blessed to know and love your Mother. Sandra Fuller

  3. To Sheryl, Holly, Janelle, Lynn, and Wylie (and their beautiful families). I’m happy to join in the celebration of life for your sweet mother. ‘Mom’ Hider was so loving and kind to me, and visiting your family was always a treat. I always felt like Daughter #5. I loved my visits to Ohio and Texas, seeing her latest refinished antiques, playing Scrabble, and hearing her brag about the many accomplishments of each of you. She was SO proud of each of you, and she loved you very much. I don’t know how she did it, but she was able to name each grandchild and great-grandchild with their photos at my last visit. Cherish the special memories, ‘footprints on your hearts’. God’s Love and Peace to All,
    Lauren

  5. Holly and Janelle, so sorry about your mom’s passing. She certainly lived a lot of years! The last time I got to see you girls was when you came up to visit her when she was at West View and we were in the chapel at a service. You both looked wonderful and I wish we would have had more time to catch up afterwards. I’m sure you have many great memories of both of your parents. Take care.
