WOOSTER “ Mary Jane Hess, 74, of Wooster passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at her home.
She was born February 18, 1947 in Lancaster the daughter of Harry and Fran Harvey Elick.   She married Bruce Hess on April 28, 1979.   He survives.
Mary Jane was a homemaker and had been a Medical Biller for Dr. Brown and had worked as a switchboard operator at Wooster Community Hospital.   She was a member of the Wooster Church of the Nazarene.   Mary Jane liked to crochet and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Joshua (Renea) Hess of Orrville and Matthew Hess of Wooster; grandchildren Madelyn Hess of College Station, TX, Zoey Hess and Caleb Hess both of Orrville.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the Wooster Nazarene Church, 3100 Oak Hill Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  7. As I’m reading this I am in shock and sad. She volunteered at the Wooster Red Cross while I worked there. We had many wonderful conversations. I know she is in heaven with the Lord, but will be so missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  13. I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jane’s passing. We went to school together and she worked at the hospital with my sister. I always had a great time with her. Life of the party! I will so miss seeing her at our class breakfasts. She was the best. RIP Mary Jane! Hugs to her family!

    She is with her mom and Jesus!! I am sorry she is away. She will see my husband.
