WOOSTER Steve Thomas Keffer, 73, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home.
He was born April 21, 1948 in Daniels, West Virginia the son of Arthur W. and Marie Adkins Keffer. He married Judy Matias on March 29, 2017. She survives.
He was employed by Medina City Schools in the Maintenance Dept. for over 30 years retiring in 1998. Steve was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed traveling.
Steve proudly served his country with the US Marines from 1965 to 1968 during the Viet Nam War receiving the Purple Heart.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Judy, are his children Tammy (Harold) Rozak of Doylestown and Kim (Jason) Fought of Medina; step children Joe, Judy Ann, Woodrow and Donald; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings Chuck, Mike, Joe, June, Carol and Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Barbara in 2015 whom he married in 1968 and siblings Delbert and Annette.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 529 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Richard Samide officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Brunswick at 1:00 p.m.
