WOOSTER “ Sharon œGobby  Kay Carmichael, 79, of Wooster passed away at 12:12 AM on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Akron.
She was born June 27, 1942 in Wooster the daughter of James and Julia DiOrio Mandolin.   She married Robert Blaine Carmichael on August 25, 1961. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She had worked at Rubbermaid for 37 plus years and part-time in the bakery at Buehler ™s Milltown for 13 years.   Sharon enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and of course Petey, Zola and Rookie.
Anyone who knew Gobby Sharon felt her love, kindness and generosity.   Gobby endured more than her share of life ™s tragedies, but never allowed her sadness to overshadow the joy of what God gave her and her family.
Surviving are her daughter Kelly Carmichael (Steve) Keller of Akron; daughter-in-law Angie Carmichael of Wooster; grandchildren Jamie (Tayler) Yoder of Aurora, Destiney Yoder of Green, Noelle (Byard) Ebling III of Aurora, Derek (Abby) Carmichael of Green, Parker (Lauren) Carmichael and Zoë(Austin) Carmichael all of Wooster; great-grandchildren Kai Bryant of Green and Gianna and Beckham Ebling of Aurora.
In addition to her husband, Blaine, she was preceded in death by her parents and her son Sean Carmichael in 2019 SC12.
To keep with Sharon’s wishes, private family services were held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the funeral home and graveside.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  2. Thoughts and prayers to the Carmichael family! Sharon was such a nice person and brought a lot of joy to many people. I was honored to know her and sure enjoyed chatting with her outside of Buehler’s bakery, Triway sporting events, and the Carmichael household!

    Our thoughts and prayers are with you..Your mom was such a sweet and caring person, The last time I saw her was this summer with your Aunt Ruthe at our house and she was telling me how beautiful my flowers were..I know that Jesus welcomed her into heaven with open arms and Blaine and Sean were there waiting for her…May God give you his Peace and Comfort as only he can give..

We spent many hours enjoying our many memories. I remember so many funny stories mom used to tell me about the times in the bakery…now you are creating those moments with her in heaven for eternity. God bless you and your family.
