Richard C. Woods, 85, of Wooster was called home by God on Friday, November 19, 2021.
He was born November 18, 1936 in Massillon the son of Charles and Leta McFadden Woods. On November 1, 1958 he married Glenda Henson. She survives.
Richard served his country proudly with the Army National Guard.
He was an electrician at Rubbermaid for 40 years and retired from there in 1998. Richard then spent the next 15 years working for the YMCA of Wayne County. He loved working on his cars and trucks. Richard also enjoyed lifting weights, riding his bicycle, running, walking, swimming, and doing yard work. He was a member of West Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Keith Allen (Michele) Woods of Massachusetts, Pamela (Eric) Seifert of Massillon, Kevin (Lisa) Woods of Wooster, and Patricia (Reggie) Brenner of Apple Creek; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Eleanor Lance, Donna Leach, Wanda Gerber, Robert Woods, and Barb Woods.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 1:00PM service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA of Wayne County, 680 Woodland Ave., Wooster, OH 44691.

Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.

Visitation

  1. Glenda & kids, My sincere sympathy for your loss of Dick.He was always so much fun from his younger years & during his time at Rubbermaid. Always enjoyed talking to him. Rest In Peace in the loving arms of Jesus. Glenda, may you have peace knowing Dick is with those who have passed before him.

  2. My sympathies to the family. *Patricia (Patty) – I worked briefly at the Y with your Dad. He was quite a character and often helped me out when I was first learning the job. I didn’t know he was your Dad when I was working there. He will be missed by many. My condolences to you and your family. May he Rest In Peace.
