Hazel Lou Perry, 79, of Wooster died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born November 12, 1942 in Wooster to Floyd and Ruth Fetter Franks.   On June 18, 1983, she married Walter J. Perry.   He survives.
Hazel was a homemaker and had owned Hazel ™s Advertising Specialties and had also been a part time receptionist for Dr. Tony Biggio.   She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.   Hazel had been the PA announcer for the Hot Stove Baseball at the Wayne County Fairgrounds for many years.   She enjoyed following her daughter ™s and grandchildren ™s activities.   She always checked in on her many, many friends to make sure they were doing ok.
Along with her husband, Hazel is survived by her daughter Kerilynn (Jake) Jagger of Wooster and grandchildren Mika, Willow and Elin Jagger along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Arlene Moore, Gladys Franks, Dorothy Scott and Richard Franks.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 Pleasant Home Road, Sterling with Pastor Steve Olsen officiating.   Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the church.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.

  6. Hazel was a person of her own, comfortable in her own skin and a big personality!
    Loved to laugh and enjoyed conversation!
    Her face had an awesome glow watching her Daughter and Granddaughters in their various activities!
    She was so proud of Them!! She was very much in love with Walter and life!
    I will miss talking to her and seeing her at the Dance Recitals and waving to me from the car .

  11. Walt & family, I have so many fond (& humorous) memories of Hazel; what a dear lady who overcame so many obstacles! I was always AWED by her “can do” attitude and what she accomplished during her life. She touched the lives of so many in a positive way and she will be missed.   20. I was so sorry to hear of Hazel’s passing. She was an amazing woman with a great sense of humor. I’ve known her since we were kids and our moms belonged to the Ladies Aid. I will miss her beautiful smile and wonderful personality. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

  25. Walt,, I was saddened to read that our wonderful Hazel had joined God in heaven. She was truly a wonderful person and will be missed a lot by many, many people.     Hazel will be missed by so many people that loved and cherished her selflessness and outgoing personality. Hazel was an amazing lady and what a remarkable life she had.
