William E. Bill Edinger, Jr., 71, of Creston passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born January 13, 1950 in Millersburg the son of William Sr. and Dorothy Barker Edinger. On January 19, 1971 he married Linda Dishman. She survives.
Bill served his country with the U.S. Army.
He was a school bus driver for most of his life. Bill had driven for KNOHOCO Head Start, where he retired in 2002, and also for the Wooster City School District. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed watching old westerns on television.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Melinda Hoover of Wooster, Tammy Jones of West Salem, William Edinger III of Millersburg, Frank Edinger of Mansfield, Pat (Chrissy) Edinger of Wooster, and Robert Edinger of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Anna Haven.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00AM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster with Pastor Bill Cantlebarry officiating.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

  1. We have many memories of Bill when he drove school bus for us at Head Start. So sorry to hear that he has gone on to the great reward.
    I apologize that I cannot attend the calling hours or the funeral.
