Edwin Arthur Allen, Sr., 68, of Wooster, passed January 15, 2022  at Wooster Hospital from complications of Covid.
He was born October 15, 1953 in Southampton, NY to Russell and Ila Schenck Allen.   Ed attended High School in East Hampton, NY and graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. He also attended Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Ed loved the Lord and pastored Holly Baptist Church in Leitchfield, KY and Harmony Baptist Church in Brooklyn, OH. He was currently serving as an associate pastor at North Wooster Baptist Church in Wooster. Ed loved to serve in the church, loved preaching God ™s Word but most of all, Ed loved family time, family gatherings and family in general. Ed and Roberta would have celebrated fifty years of marriage this November.   Ed was an avid woodcarver and often gave demonstrations and taught classes. He loved the outdoors and did a lot of family camping. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time alone with the Lord in the woods.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta and four children: Rebecca Allen, Russ (Heather) Allen, Bryan (Rose) Allen and Edwin (Gabriella) Allen, Jr. Ed had two granddaughters whom he loved dearly: Dakotah (21) and Penelope (3).   Ed also had two loving fur-babies: Charlie and Gracie.
