Elwood œVic  Fantine, Jr., 74, of Wooster passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born April 19, 1947 in New Philadelphia, OH the son of Elwood Sr. and Pearl Jean Hamby Fantine.
Vic served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy.
He had driven semi-truck for 48 years. Vic enjoyed the travel and seeing the world that came with being a truck driver. He liked camping and loved to fish. Vic truly loved spending time with family. He was a wonderful man who would do anything for anyone.
He is survived by the love of his life Kathy Blevens; his children Tschia Skrobot, Michael Fantine, Daniel Fantine, and Victoria Fantine; multiple grandchildren; and his sisters Sandy Manbeck and Sylvia Garabrandt.
There are people that come into your life that you know are in your coner no matter what.
The ones that you could call at any hour and they would be there to help no matter the situation.
The ones that never give up on you no matter what life throws at you.
The people that remind you they are there for you…always.
That was Vic.
There will be no services.

  1. So sad to learn of Vic’s passing . He sure was alot of fun with that contagious HARDY laugh . Vic always was asking if you needed anything or offering you coffee or another cookie! He was was a good friend to all and will be greatly missed. Heaven received an amazing man as GOD called him home. Vic fought a long illness yet never complained. Rest In Peace Vic.. till we meet again. Prayers for comfort Kathy , and all of his family whom he loved so very much.
