WOOSTER “ F. Aileen œMosie  Ickes, 92 plus 363 days, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born January 29, 1929 in Wooster the daughter of William A. and Mary L. McClure Brown.   She married R. James Ickes on September 9, 1950.   He preceded her in death on September 13, 2005.
Mosie was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School in Oklahoma and had attended Jefferson School and Wooster High School.   She was a homemaker and a member of the Holmesville Church of Christ.   She enjoyed needle work, crocheting, flower gardening, bird watching, the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Janice C. Ickes of Wooster, James M (Jill) Ickes of Wadsworth and Susan (Art) Parrot of Holmesville; grandchildren Jennifer (Steve) Lourenco of Fall River, MA, Willie (Amber) Parrot of Kidron, Brian (Molly) Parrot of Fredericksburg, Christina (Ellen) Parrot of Ft. Wayne, IN,   Michael (Meegan Pinyerd) Parrot of Loudonville, Jillian Ickes, Joyce Ickes and Jessica Ickes all of Wadsworth; great-grandchildren Cohen, Kaylee, Kacen, Evan, Alese and Sarah; a sister K. Lucille Arthur of Holmesville.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother John D. Brown.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Mr. James Ickes and Mr. Willie Parrot officiating.   Burial will follow in the Fairhaven Cemetery.

  3. I knew Aileen from the Emanuel United Church of Christ (now Old Stone Church) . She & JIm went there and their children too. That was back in the 1960’s . The family has my condolences. Richard was my husband & Opal was my mother-in-law.

  7. Aileen was a sweet lady. Holmesville Church of Christ, mother of Susie Parrot who is my friend.Aileen always had a great smile and loved her family. And she kept them in line too. I always liked talking and laughing with her. She always was pleasant to listen to her.

  8. We have lived across the road from Mrs. Ickes over 36 years. When our children little we would go over to visit with Jim & Aileen and while the kids played on the floor with toys Aileen brought out from a back room, we watched the Indians play ball. We have sweet memories of them. Our family has your family in our thoughts & prayers.
