WOOSTER “ Janet Rose Otto, 78, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Janet was born October 4, 1943 in New Bavaria the daughter of Leo and Edna Westerick Okuley.
She was a 1961 graduate of Holgate High School, was a homemaker and had worked in the Bakery at the College of Wooster.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbus.
Janet was a loving mother of four children and a dedicated wife of 58 years.   She loved teaching her children to bake and tending her garden of roses every summer.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Otto; children David (Lynda) Otto of Ft. Wayne, IN, Tonia (Mike) Beyeler of Jeromesville, Lorie (Ken) Troxel of Creston, Christine Smith of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren Benjamin Otto and Elizabeth Otto of Ft. Wayne, IN; siblings Kevin Okuley of Napoleon, Ben Okuley, Mike Okuley, Tom Okuley all of New Bavaria and Joyce Poulson of Cherry Hill, NJ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister Margaret œPeggy  Okuley and brothers Jerry and Daniel Okuley.
Friends will be received on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

    May our Lord Bless and Comfort the Otto family during this time of grief. Please accept our sincere condolences.
    I remembered Janet having a sweet, reserved soul for people around her. I remember when we visit Saint Mary Catholic Church, she showed how proud she was to belong to such a beautiful place. We will miss her dearly.
