Delores œDee Ann Drabenstott, 82, of Wooster went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born on August 3, 1939, in Wadsworth to Charles and Gladys Hershey.   She was a graduate of Seville High School where she was the captain of her cheer-leading squad.
Dee loved Jesus, music and people.   She attended Assembly of God churches in the area and freely witnessed about the great things her Lord had done for her.   Dee loved gospel songs and hymns and played them beautifully on the piano and organ.   She played at churches and at nursing homes where she and her husband ministered.   Dee enjoyed cardmaking and letter writing, spending hours at a time preparing personalized correspondence for family and friends.   She was passionate about her family and especially loved young children, doting on them and calling them her babies.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Drabenstott; children Deborah (John) Gerbetz of Hudson, Patricia (Tom) Schmitz of Perrysburg, Cheri Mathys of Rittman and Michael (Rochelle) Mathys of Seville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sisters Sandy (John) Schooling and Judy (Gaëtan) Rock both of Wadsworth.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Hack.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 5:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will be in Wooster Cemetery.
