Marritta œRita  Paulette Patterson, 72, of Wooster died on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born September 3, 1949 in Butler County, KY to Clifton and Floy McCaslin Flener.
Rita had been an RN at Barberton Hospital for many years.   She enjoyed flower gardening, loved nature and visiting and fishing in the Shreve Swamps.   Rita also enjoyed attending Dirt Track racing with Jimmy and watching NASCAR.
She is survived by her granddaughter Christie (John) Groah; step-great-granddaughter Jaylyn Groah; her companion for over 20 years Jimmy Hites; a niece Michelle Flener and a nephew Butch Flener.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry Patterson; daughter Lisa Raper and a brother Pete Flener.
There will be no services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  2. Rita was my best friend. We had a lot of good times working together and as friends. I miss you terribly my
    Friend. Your were like a sister to me. We always had a good laugh and fun .A true friend indeed! Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord! See you on the other side one day. All is well with my soul.
