Sharon Dian Lang , 62, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on Monday, March 21st.  Sharon was born on April 8th  1959 in Mansfield, OH to Richard Dale Daugherty Sr and Shirley Jean Byler. Sharon married Larry Lang of Larry’s Music on June 11, 1988.
Sharon is survived by her husband Larry; sister Debra Pontius; daughter Nichole (Rob) Zawojski and grandchildren Alex, Amara & Andreana; step-daughter Angela (Chris) Newnes; step-daughter Michelle (Tom) McArdle and grandchildren Conor & Colin.
Sharon was predeceased in death by her parents Richard Dale Daugherty Sr and Shirley Jean Byler and her brother Richard Dale Daugherty Jr.
Sharon was a member of First Alliance Church in Port Charlotte, FL. She enjoyed many hobbies with her husband including scuba diving for over 25 years with her favorite dive sight being the Molasses Reef in the Florida Keys; Sharon loved boating for over 35 years, and motorcycling in Amish country always stopping to feed the draft horses a few apples along the way. But playing golf in retirement was her newest favorite. Sharon was a wonderful wife, sister, mother and grandma; she loved selecting thoughtful toys & clothes for and playing with her grandkids.
The way Sharon lived represented the Fruits of the Spirit…Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control, and best of all…Love.
Everyone liked Sharon.    She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was better than she thought she was; She radiated kindness. She was always forgiving and extended grace to all every time no matter what, whether it was deserved or not. She was always thoughtful of other people; She was such a good listener offering empathy to everyone from the country club ladies to the cashiers at Publix….she knew their names and they knew hers. She was just so uniquely genuine; the most caring, thoughtful person.
As a wife, she always accepted me for exactly who I am. She never realized how much she had to offer others. For all of those who love her, life will be difficult without her.
Sharon was the most selfless person her entire life, even at the end…….she was an organ donor. The staff at Gulf Coast Medical Center performed an Honor Walk for her in appreciation and respect of her gift of life. With this gift, she has saved many lives.
May she rest in peace in Heaven knowing how many people she helped during her life and  now even after.
