WOOSTER “ David L. œRock  Hudson, 83, of Wooster passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born November 18, 1938 in Ashland the son of Lester C. and Verna Martin Hudson.   He married Mary C. Bash on April 22, 1967.   She survives.
Rock was a 1956 graduate of Big/Prairie High School and retired in July of 2000 after working 40 years in the Gas Operations Dept. for East Ohio Gas.   He enjoyed playing Fast Pitch Softball and played 3rd base for several area travel teams.   Rock was an avid sports enthusiast.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary, are his children David (Brenda) Hudson of Carmel, IN, Jackie (Tony) Lovejoy of Wooster and Mark Hudson of Denver CO; grandchildren Cameron Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Gavin Lovejoy, Kaley Bess and Taylor Lovejoy; great-grandchildren Cayden Guthrie, Emmett Bess and Ledger Bess and a brother Jim (Connie) Hudson of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jean Brown and a brother Jack Hudson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5-7:00 p.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Hospice Chaplain Darron Butler officiating.   Burial will be in the Newkirk Cemetery on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

  3. I was so lucky that my sister found a wonderful man. They even let me spend many years with them. A lot of laughs and disagreements. But we always respected each other. He was my best brother in law. I already miss him. Love every moment that I new him. Love to the family. I’m here if my sister needs me. Love Aunt Barb

  5. I remember Dave from Big Prairie days. Same class-Dave was a respected classmate. We will all miss him. I have been living in Harrisonburg VA since 1975. My sincere condolences to the family.
