WOOSTER “ Joseph Jeffrey Fields, 57, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus peacefully with his wife at his side.
He was born September 12, 1964 in Wooster the son of William Sid and Carol Ann Cunningham Fields.   He married Cheryl Walters on July 11, 1991.   She survives.
Joseph, was a life-long resident of Wooster and was employed as a Journeyman Machinist at Tahoma Engineered Solutions and was the former owner of Fields Carpet and Design Center.   He loved motorcycles, both riding and racing, boating, especially at Lake Cumberland, water skiing, woodworking, spending time with his family and bbq.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Cheryl, is his mother, Carol Fields of Wooster; son Daniel (Amanda) Fields of Wooster; a step-son Nathaniel (Holly) Walters of Wooster; grandchildren Danny Jr. and Austin Fields; step-grandchildren Natalie and Destiny; siblings Karen Jones of San Clemente, CA, Tina Gazia of Scottsdale, AZ, Brenda Shreiner of Prescott, AZ and Mary Bentz of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sid and best friend and brother-in-law Kevin Bentz.
Private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

    I was saddened to see of Joe’s passing. I have fond memories of Danny in my 2nd grade classroom. You were such loving and supportive parents to Danny, as well to me as his teacher. Praying comfort and peace for you.

  10. To the Fields Family My sincere condolences I road raced for Joe, had a blast boating with him and your family in Cumberland as well as riding dirt bikes with our kids. I will treasure those memories I was so happy to meet up with him at the Nelson Ledges Reunion a couple years ago I will be keeping you all in my prayers
