Dorothy June Curie, 76, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron with her family by her side.
She was born March 23, 1946 in Wooster, Ohio to Richard and Mary (nee Ziegler) Stahl.
Dorothy, affectionately known as œDottie  or œSis  to her friends and family, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She leaves behind a son Craig Curie (Heidi), granddaughter Amanda Fintel (Kyle), grandsons Chad and Brandon Curie, great-granddaughter Kate Fintel, a brother Dick Stahl (Bonnie), nieces and their families and many cousins including Belinda Carnes (Kevin) who was like a sister to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dorothy was an avid baker, and loved to share her cookies at various flea markets, craft shows and MAPS Air Museum where she had many friends that will miss her greatly. She was a free spirit and was blessed to travel and go places whenever she had the opportunity. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandkids and great-nieces and nephews, and spoiling them at any opportunity. She had a kind heart and really cared about others.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Union Cemetery in Wooster.
Friends will be received 1-hour prior to the Service of Remembrance at the funeral home.

Service

  1. Heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother Craig, your mother in law Heidi, your Grandmother Amanda (& Kyle), Brandon, and Chad, and great grandmother to Kate. You were a loving, devoted family, to a generous, courageous, and loving woman. She is at peace.

  3. Dottie was a good friend of my parents’ Art & Cheryl. I have many good memories of her. I’m so sorry for your loss Craig. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers.
