Thelma Marie Way, 92, of Wooster died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Wayne County Care Center.
She was born March 17, 1930 in Rittman to Ralph and Laura A. Purdy Watts.   On May 23, 1947, she married Carrol œRed  Way, Jr.   He preceded her in death in 1985.
Thelma was a homemaker and a mother.   She also had worked at F.J. Designs and Rubbermaid.   Thelma was a member of both Central Christian Church and Parkview Christian Church and of the Lion ™s Club in Shreve.
She is survived by her children Larry (Pam) Way and Chip (Judy) Way; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
Along with her husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and sons Dan Way, Tom Way and Carl Way.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 12:00PM-2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will follow the calling hours in Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.

  6. We are sad to learn of the passing of Thelma. Roger has fond memories of spending time with her at Aunt Florence’s house. He said Thelma was like one of his sisters. The loss and parting is difficult, but there is rejoicing in knowing that she rests in the arms of her heavenly Father. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Thelma was so fun to be around. I always enjoyed chatting with her when she came to the reunions. She will be missed by so many. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. Sympathy and love to all.
