  11. Our heartfelt sympathy to the Howman family. Weldon was a schoolmate at Congress High School. His sister, Donna, was in our class. He was a good athlete in both basketball and baseball. Always called him Scooter! Enjoyed a common interest in antiques and would often see he and Marian at sales. Praying God will comfort you all at this sad time.

  12. I first met Weldon around Labor Day 1976. I had come up to meet them, as I was in love with their daughter Victoria. We met at Myrtle Beach in 1974.I was pretty nervous and wanted his approval, but “Howie” was a quiet man and kept me guessing. It all worked out as Vickie and I married in April 1977 and now have 45 plus years together. I never met a nicer, kinder, more decent man and we always got along. He took me to my first pro-baseball game at the old Cleveland stadium and to the pro-football HOF. He took me out on his sales routes a few times(always early) and beat me badly in Pool every time. I never heard as much as a harsh word from him. So many happy memories of him with our family and his grandkids. “Howie” I will always remember you and I miss you greatly. I am so grateful that I am able to say proudly that you were my father-in-law. May you be at peace, Love you always, Terry.
