Shirley Snider Ryan, 93, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Ashtabula on January 21, 1929 to Vier and Bessie Colby Snider.

Shirley was a homemaker who was an avid traveler who loved to visit her family and go on bike trips throughout Europe with International Bike Tours. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the Women’s Advisory Board at The College of Wooster.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Foster Henn (Gerald), Brad Thomas Foster (Anne), Laura Foster Imperia (Paul) and Matthew Snider Foster; grandchildren Meagan Colby Foster (Patrick), Brandon Tyler Foster, Taryn Elise Scanlan (Justin), Lauren Henn Devany (Michael), JJ Henn (Annie), Alexa Henn Cassidy (Matte), Kathleen Renee Tyson (Justin) and Tyler William Hill (Kylee); eleven great-grandchildren; bonus children Rick Ryan (Tommie), Kevin Ryan (Cindy), Kathleen Greeley (John), Thomas Ryan and Peg Pilgrim (David) and their  families.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Waldron Ryan; her parents and sisters June Snider Mackey and Bonita Snider Metcalf.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Inurnment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery, 4011 State Rd., Ashtabula, with her parents and grandparents at the convenience of the family.
