Mary Grace Elliott, 99, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

Mary was born in Ripley Township, Ohio, close to Nashville on March 17, 1923 to Isaac “Luther” and Madge (Kline) Clark.

Mary grew up in Killbuck and Brinkhaven before marrying Kenneth Elliott who preceded her in death in 1985. The family moved to Smithville in 1948. She worked at Sheller Meats and later worked for, and retired from, Beaver Meats. Mary loved camping, traveling out West, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Pepsi. She absolutely loved the snow-capped mountains, rivers, waterfalls big skies the smell of the Juniper and Ponderosa Pines, and everything about the Rockies. She visited many National Parks (over 40 of them), many of them more times than you can count on one hand. Though she was afraid of heights, she couldn’t help looking out the car window at the breath-taking views as they drove along wildflower dotted mountain highways.

Surviving are her sons Ronald (Phyllis) Elliott of Wooster and Bruce (Janet) Elliott of El Mirage, AZ; Her six grandchildren Elizabeth Elliott, Krista (Douglas) Way, Stacey (Jason) Pelfrey, Douglas (Christina) Elliott, Dawn (Mike) Butcher, and Jennifer Elliott; her 12 great-grandchildren; her 4 great-great-grandchildren; and her older sister Luella (Don) Bertsch.

She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac (Luther) Clark and Madge (Kline) Clark; Kenneth Elliott; her son Donald (Marty) Elliott; and her younger brothers and sisters, and 2 grandsons.
