Betty Sue Garrison, 82, of Wooster died on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born March 9, 1940 in Anniston, AL to Donald and Mildred Townsend Bertrand.  On June 7, 1959, she married Dr. Dan D. Garrison.  They were married for over 60 years, before he preceded her in death in 2020.

Betty was an active member of Shreve United Methodist Church where she was in charge of the Card Ministry and in Small Group.  She had worked The William Annat Company Department Store in Wooster in the Children’s Department, the Florence O. Wilson Bookstore at The College of Wooster, as a secretary at Wooster High School and a substitute teacher in Wayne County among her various endeavors.  Betty was a member of the D.A.R., the Ohio Guard Society and was active with the Wayne County Fair in the Home Ec. and Art Departments.

She is survived by her daughters Addie (Rod) Scheibe of Wooster and Mary (Robert) Ladrach of Woodsfield; grandchildren Amanda (Willis) Raber, Benjamin Scheibe, Katie (Jared) Kovach and Daniel Ladrach; great-grandchildren Caroline, Wyatt and Anthony.

Along with her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 7:00 PM at the Shreve United Methodist Church, 430 N. Main St., Shreve.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
