Leonard Powell Nuckols, 79, of Canton passed away Saturday October 1, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.
He was born September 28, 1943 in Rockbridge County, VA to Andy & Martha Hite Nuckols. Leonard married Dorothy Smith; she preceded him in death.
Leonard worked at Halliburton and then retired from Gerstenslager after 25 years. He was a member of the Lamplighters and enjoyed bowling, pull tabs and socializing.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Nuckols of Canton; sisters Rose Carter and Barbara Anne Shifflett; brother Maynard Nuckols all of Virginia and 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a brother Andy Nuckols Jr and a sister Kathleen Mae “Kitten” Goff.
There will be no services at this time.

Lenaord was an amazing man and always cared for others above himself. His presence and laughter will be missed but his memories will live on forever. I will truly miss him. My deepist sympathy goes out to Kim and family and may you find peace in your time of need. Love to you all
