Linda Lee Grassman, 83, of Wooster died on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born November 3, 1938 in Fredericksburg to Clifford Milo and Ernestine Ethel Greegor Woodruff.  On September 29, 1956, she married C. Delroy Grassman.  He preceded her in death in 2021.

Linda had been a homemaker and had also worked for several years as a cook for Triway School System. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Linda liked to stay busy crocheting, vegetable and flower gardening.  She was an encyclopedia of knowledge in the family with her wonderful memory.  Linda never met a stranger and when she “met ‘em she didn’t forget ‘em”.  No one ever left her house hungry. They were always offered snacks and beverages the entire visit.  Her warm heart and kind soul will be remembered by all that knew her.  She was a wonderful mom and grandma and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her children William “Bill” (Linda) Grassman of Wooster, Jeff (Kathy) Grassman of Jeromesville, Barbara (Larry) Bresson of Lakeville, Michael “Mike” (Jody) Grassman of Shreve and LuAnn (Tim) Suppes of Apple Creek; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren (“maybe more, who knows”); brother Keith (Jackie) Woodruff of Dalton along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Mark Grassman; great-grandchildren Charlie and Westlyn Suppes and a sister Patricia Crabbe.

A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10:30 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Stephan Moran officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Shreve.

  2. To the whole Grassman clan, thanks for sharing your mom with all of us. I remember what a sweetheart she was to everyone. She used to tell me that she had to come down to the Shreve Dari Bar for one last cone before we closed for the winter! Her examples of how she lived her life is present in all of you! God bless you all!

  8. What a Dear Aunt Linda. She was such a sweet and caring person. Always smiling, genuinely asking how you are then waiting for the response (truly listening), and always putting others needs in front of her own.
When we were young, she would always send us birthday cards (we looked forward to receiving them), signed Uncle Del, Aunt Linda & Cousins 5! Then the best part is she always taped a quarter in the card! We thought we were rich! Staying at their house during the summers to play with cousins was a blast and I can’t recall Aunt Linda ever getting cross, losing her temper, or yelling. She was just always caring and smiling.
She’ll be deeply missed but now has her wings and is among the other angels.
My deepest condolences to all my cousins (and their families) on the loss of a wonderful Mother.
P.S. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the service but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
    Hugs~
