David O. Moore, 90, of Burbank passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at The Avenue at Wooster and became reunited with the love of his life, his wife Arlene, in Heaven. Finally, they are “together again”.

David was born on November 10, 1932 in Apple Creek the son of Ernest H. and Alta Hastings Moore. On August 10, 1952 he married Mildred “Arlene” Franks. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2011.

David had been a dairy farmer for the majority of his life. He had also spent several years driving school bus for Norwayne Local Schools where he fostered relationships, and was able to make a positive impact on the lives of local youth. David was a member of Grace Church, in Wooster. He enjoyed listening to the southern gospel music of the Gaither Vocal Band, and even made several bus trips to watch them live. He never missed Sunday lunch at the Green Leaf Restaurant after church. David was a member of the American Jersey Cattle Association, enjoyed going to the jersey conventions, and loved to watch the cow shows at the Wayne County Fair. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports and helping with 4-H groups in the community. Another joy of his was square dancing with his wife, Arlene.

Surviving are his children Paul (Kristine) Moore of Burbank and Donald Moore of Wooster; grandchildren Andy (Angie) Moore, Michelle (Matt) Kendle, Natashia (Dustin) Audritsh; and Tyler (Walker) Claus; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Arlene, David was preceded in death by his siblings Bascom Moore, Ernest H. Moore, Marjorie L. Noletti, Wilda V. Soka, Lena Horn, Wayne H. Moore, and Glenn Moore.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:00PM at Grace Church, 4599 Burbank Rd., in Wooster with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will be received 2-hours prior to the start of the service at the church.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster, is assisting the family.

  2. Our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Dave. Dave and Arline were long time friends and we miss them. Sorry we will be unable to attend Dave’s services on Friday because Jim is scheduled for some surgery that day. Will be praying God will hold you all close and bring the comfort that only He can bring. God bless you.

  3. Remembering both Mom and Dad from the Wayne County Fair. Sitting in their seats in the coliseum. Good people. My parents, Glen and Helen Neal, always enjoyed visiting with David and Arlene.

  4. Paul, condolences to you and the family on the passing of your dad. I have many fond memories of him, and your mom, thru 4-H, band, school activities, or just hanging out overnight at your house. What nice people. In later years, always appreciated running into Dave at the Green Leaf when I would be there with my mom. May you take comfort in the many fond and pleasant memories from is long life. Blessings.
